These use computer algorithms to pull the last sold price of the property and then the computer tries to use comparative properties to create the estimate. Sometimes the value can be fairly accurate.
It’s only accurate if you have sold your property with a realtor in the last decade or so. Juneau County sales prices weren’t made available to the public prior to that. If you have made any changes to the property such as adding a storage building, a bathroom, basically any type of remodeling then the computer algorithm won’t know that. If on the flip side you haven’t updated the interior in a couple of decades the computer algorithm can’t factor that in either.
